The answer is \u201cYes\u201d \u2013 a beach with fence is permitted, as long as rules are followed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This applies to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ded6429.inmotionhosting.com\/~super126\/north-florida\/jacksonville-beach-fence-company\/\">Jacksonville Beach<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ded6429.inmotionhosting.com\/~super126\/north-florida\/atlantic-beach-fence-company\/\">Atlantic Beach<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ded6429.inmotionhosting.com\/~super126\/north-florida\/fernandina-beach-fence-company\/\">Fernandina Beach<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ded6429.inmotionhosting.com\/~super126\/north-florida\/neptune-beach-fence-company\/\">Neptune Beach<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Other Beach <a href=\"https:\/\/ded6429.inmotionhosting.com\/~super126\/north-florida\/#service-areas\">areas we service<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>What Are The Rules And Regulations To Have A Beach With Fence?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Jacksonville area beaches have to comply with regulations, especially those located seaward of the CCCL \u2013 Coastal Construction Control Line. These CCCL regulations are in place to protect the beach, as well as the dune system, coastal wildlife and beach access areas.<\/p>\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/floridadep.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/Sand-Fencing-Guidelines-2022.pdf\">sand fences<\/a> specifically, they must be installed as individual segments \u2013 or spurs \u2013 and not a continuous line. Each spur cannot exceed 10 feet in length and 4 feet in height. They must also be spaced at least 7 feet apart and aligned diagonally facing the wind. Additionally, only one row of a beach fence is allowed within sea turtle nesting habitat.<\/p>\n<p>Sand fences must be of low impact, breakaway construction and biodegradable materials when possible, including the use of untreated wood and have a 40% open space to 60% solid ratio or a maximum of 50% open space between slats for most effective sand trapping.
